The deception by a business named Sevimli Gıda Market operating in Samsun misled consumers, and the Ministry of Trade did not leave it unpunished.

During an inspection conducted by the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Trade at the business serving in the city, it was determined that a product on the market shelf labeled "Egemen Kuymaklık Yarım Yağlı Taze Ayçekirdeği Çeşnili Eritme Peyniri" (Egemen Semi-Fat Fresh Sunflower Seed Flavored Processed Cheese for Kuymak) was advertised on its shelf tag as "Egemen Yarım Yağlı Kaşar Peynir" (Egemen Semi-Fat Kashar Cheese).

As a result of the evaluation made by the Advertising Board, it was determined that this misinformation was contrary to the provisions of the relevant law.

Accordingly, an administrative fine of 86 thousand 358 Turkish Liras was imposed on the business due to both misleading advertising to consumers and promotion contrary to regulations.

Furthermore, it was ordered that the advertisements in question be stopped.
