A new production area for coal extraction has been opened at the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) Amasra Establishment Directorate, following the firedamp explosion that occurred 2 years ago.
On October 14, 2022, a firedamp disaster occurred at the TTK mine in the Amasra district of Bartın, in which 43 miners died and 9 workers were injured.
Following the incident, preparations were made to open a new production area for coal extraction.
Work was carried out in the production area for the first time 722 days after the disaster.
Before the day shift, the Quran was recited and prayers were held in front of the TTK Amasra Establishment due to the opening of the new production area.
