"30-40 YEARS AGO, IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND A TROPICAL NIGHT"
Drawing attention to nighttime hours following the rising temperatures, Şen stated the following:
"For the next 5 days, the Tropical Night regions in Turkey are the Yellow and Brown areas. Tropical night: These are centers where the minimum nighttime temperature is above 20 C. On the map, these nights are at 25-28 C. In other words, it is extremely hot at night. 30-40 years ago, it was very difficult to find a tropical night in Turkey.
The high minimum temperature and 95% humidity at night make us feel stifled. The minimum temperature is measured at night, but humidity is measured at the maximum. The felt temperature also increases. This is why the tropical night is important. The maximum temperature is between 14:00 and 15:00 during the day, and humidity is at its minimum at this time."
