Prosecutor's opinion announced: Prison time requested for aunt and cousin of child found in 'trash house'
The prosecutor's opinion has been announced in the trial of the aunt and cousin of C.M.A., a boy now 10 years old, who was found in a neglected state in a 'trash house' in Bursa approximately 2 years ago.

The hearing at the Bursa 10th High Criminal Court, which was closed to the press due to a confidentiality order, was attended by the non-custodial defendant Kamuran Pınar A. (46), who faces up to 30 years and 6 months in prison for "deprivation of liberty," "attempted intentional homicide by omission," and "torture against a child," her daughter, the child driven to crime E.Z.A. (17), their lawyers, and a representative for the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
It was learned that in the prosecutor's opinion, it was requested that the defendant Kamuran Pınar A. be punished for "attempted intentional homicide by omission" and "deprivation of liberty against a child using force, threats, or deception," and that the child driven to crime E.Z.A. be punished for "deprivation of liberty against a child or a person unable to defend themselves physically or mentally."
It was stated that the court panel, which decided to continue the judicial control measures for Kamuran Pınar A., accepted the lawyers' request for time to respond to the prosecutor's opinion and adjourned the hearing.
RECEIVED TREATMENT AT THE HOSPITAL
Aydın S., who rented his apartment in Bursa to Kamuran Pınar A., had filed a lawsuit against the woman for failing to pay rent. After the court ordered the eviction, the enforcement team that went to the address had the door opened with the help of a locksmith.
Kamuran Pınar A., who did not comply with the court's eviction order by changing the locks, was questioned by the police. Meanwhile, Nilüfer Municipality cleaning staff, who were notified to clean the house filled with trash, found C.M.A. unconscious in a locked room among the trash in July 2022, noting that his health was poor.
It was determined that the child's mother was Yasemin A., the sister of Kamuran Pınar A., and C.M.A. was handed over to his mother living in Antalya by the prosecutor's office. Later, C.M.A. and Kamuran Pınar A.'s daughter, E.Z.A., were taken under protection by the Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services. C.M.A. was admitted for treatment at Akdeniz University Hospital.
Kamuran Pınar A., who had been arrested, was released under judicial control while the trial was ongoing.
Separate lawsuits were filed against the defendant Kamuran Pınar A. and her daughter E.Z.A., and it was decided to merge these two files, which had factual and legal connections.
