Preparations are underway in Germany for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Berlin tomorrow. It was stated that approximately 1,500 police officers will be deployed for Erdoğan's visit, which is planned to last a few hours. It was also noted that police officers from other states will come to the capital to support the Berlin teams.
It was noted that high-level security measures will be taken in the area surrounding the Chancellery, Bellevue Palace—the official residence of the German President where Erdoğan will be hosted—and the Turkish Embassy as part of the visit.
In addition to a protest planned by Kurds against Erdoğan's policies, police officers will also be on duty on Saturday due to another pro-Palestinian demonstration and the Turkey-Germany friendly match to be played in Berlin.
Erdoğan, who is scheduled to land in Berlin on Friday afternoon, will first be received by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. After meeting with Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Erdoğan is expected to leave Berlin following a dinner he will attend.
