Protest from teacher claiming interview injustice against Minister Tekin! He insulted him by calling him a 'megalomaniac'

A teacher who claimed to be a victim of the interview process criticized the interviews at the 19th Book Reading Contest organized by the Zeytinburnu Municipality, which Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin attended.

The teacher, Özkan Özdemir, who stated that he was a victim of the interview process, said to Tekin, "We have been waiting for you for 188 days. You wait for us for 5 minutes. As teachers who are victims of the interview process, we waited at your door. Instead of facing us, you manipulated society and public opinion with perceptions. We suffered in the tyranny of the interviews. We waited at your door through snow and storm. You answered politicians on our behalf. But when it comes to answering us, to settling accounts with us..."

MINISTER TEKIN: "YOU ARE SUCH A MEGALOMANIAC CHILD..."

While Tekin asked, "Are you finished?", the teacher replied, "It is not finished, Mr. Minister," to which Tekin said, "Then wait outside, let's talk, okay?"

As the teacher was being removed from the hall, Minister Tekin made the following statement:

"We have spoken with you at least 30 times. You are such a megalomaniac child that you perceive not talking to you as talking to others. This attitude is rude and immoral."

LINKED HIM TO TERRORISM

"Dear guests, this is this friend's attitude. Intelligence reports have revealed what kind of structures he has ties to, what kind of terrorist organizations he has relations with. Yes, he is protesting. However, I personally gave appointments to at least 30 different groups who are in this situation and claim to be victims, and we talked in many different settings. But this friend of ours is condescending, so megalomaniacal that he insists we meet with him, and he sees himself in such a different place that he perceives himself as representing everyone.

Excuse me, we do not have time for such megalomaniac characters who are condescending to people and say, 'I am speaking on behalf of everyone, on behalf of society, on behalf of the nation.' Let them go about their business. I am truly sorry on your behalf that they sabotaged such meetings."

"IF THERE IS AN INJUSTICE, OBJECT LEGALLY"

In his subsequent explanation regarding how the interviews were conducted, Tekin said:

"Friends like our friend who spoke a moment ago, who want to sabotage the environment and terrorize it, come out and say, 'An injustice was done.' I say it again. If an injustice was done, file an official, written objection. Let's look at the minutes and the camera footage. There is none. 'Where did you commit an injustice? You gave a higher grade to my classmate who took the exam in another city.' My brother, let that person object, object to something. I need to solve a problem legally; say something so we can act accordingly.

"WE CREATED A REGULATION THAT WILL NOT VIOLATE RIGHTS OR COMMIT INJUSTICE"

We did something here under the instruction of our President. We created a regulation that will not violate the rights of others and will not commit injustice. I have one piece of advice for those who object to this from now on, and who do so with a terrorizing logic, protesting here and there: My brother, file a lawsuit, object. Then come and say, 'There are things on record, an injustice was done to me here,' and I will correct it accordingly. They do none of these; they shout here and there. Excuse me, we are striving to select the best among so many candidates for the teachers to whom we entrust our children, our children whose eyes are smiling.

"WE CREATED A VERY FAIR AND OBJECTIVE INTERVIEW SYSTEM, AND WE WILL DO THE SAME AGAIN"

I apologize to you, friends, I did not want to make this introduction, but it is necessary to respond to friends who lie, slander, and make accusations like this. I assure you that under the instruction of our President, we have created a very fair and objective interview system where not a single person's rights are violated, where neither AKP nor MHP deputies nor my politician friends have ever given names, provided lists, or anything similar, and where such a thing has never happened. We will do the same again now. If anyone has the slightest objection, let them object. We will evaluate that objection at the end of the exam and if there is an injustice, we will solve it. I had to make an unpleasant introduction. First of all, I apologize to all of you. But while we are working so hard not to violate rights and not to commit injustice, my heart does not accept that I and my friends are treated unfairly and left under suspicion in this way."

On the other hand, Özdemir made the following statements on his social media account regarding the words about 'having ties to terrorist organizations':

"I am making an open call to all state institutions; it is being said by the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey that I have ties to terrorist organizations. You must consider this statement by the Minister as a report. You cannot allow someone who has ties to terrorist organizations to walk around freely in society.

If these allegations are true, come on, I will be sitting in my home. There is no one tying your hands to arrest me. Otherwise, starting on Monday, I will begin an indefinite hunger strike unless an apology is made to me by the Minister of National Education. I have lived in this world with my honor and dignity. I will not bow down to the character assassination of a person who throws mud hoping it sticks, drawing strength from a seat bestowed upon him."
