Protests continue at Boğaziçi: Students banned from entry
Students continuing their protests against appointed rectors at Boğaziçi University have now been hit with an entry ban. At least 20 students, whose campus entry cards were cancelled, announced the situation on social media.

Many students who wanted to enter the university through the south campus to attend their morning classes learned that their entry cards had been cancelled.
In a statement made by the students' social media account, Boğaziçi TV, it was announced that at least 20 students were prevented from entering the campus.
BAN COMES AFTER CAFE OCCUPATION
Meanwhile, while no official statement has been made regarding the entry ban on students, the bans came following a cafe boycott carried out at the university. Protesting the high prices of the newly opened cafe on February 10, over 1,000 students held a demonstration with banners reading "We are coming to your expensive tables with our cheap coffee" and "No passage for capital at Boğaziçi."
The students who occupied the cafe began making their own tea and coffee in what they called the "Occupied Cafe."
