Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, who was expelled from the İsmailağa community amid debates over sheikhdom, made statements claiming that it is not permissible to vote for parties outside the People's Alliance.
In the video, Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca said the following:
"Should we hand it over to them? Therefore, I am speaking out of necessity according to fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). It is obligatory to choose the lesser of two evils. What does obligatory mean? It means you have no other choice, you are compelled.
If one does not do this, they become a sinner. Currently, it is not permissible to vote for candidates of the Yeniden Refah, Saadet, etc., outside the People's Alliance, especially in places like Istanbul and Ankara where it is certain they cannot win, but where it is highly probable that by causing the People's Alliance to lose, they will cause the CHP, DEM, and terrorists to win.
They are responsible. They will become sinners and face punishment. You cannot say 'What is it to you?' I am obligated to explain to the person what is obligatory for them and what is a sin."
