The Republic of Türkiye is celebrating its 100th anniversary on October 29, 2023. In a country where 85 million citizens are wishing for "many more 100 years," a campaign launched by PTT in 2002 has moved everyone who heard about it.

"The Letter to the 100th Anniversary of Our Republic Campaign in 2023" aimed to build a bridge from the past to the future and create a meaningful memento to be left as a legacy for future generations.

As part of the campaign, citizens entrusted their letters written in 2002 to PTT to be delivered 21 years later. The letters handed over to the company were kept safe to be delivered to their recipients in the 100th year of the Republic.

A young woman who received one of these letters shared the emotions she experienced in a video she recorded. Reading the letter her grandfather wrote to her on camera, the woman commented:

"The doorbell rang and a letter arrived from PTT. I turned it over, and my grandfather's name was written in the sender section; I read it in tears."
