GOVERNOR'S OFFICE STATEMENT
The statement from the Governor's Office included the following:
"On 09.10.2024, families filed a complaint alleging that two boys were sexually harassed by having their photos taken in our province. Our security forces immediately identified and apprehended a foreign national suspected of being the perpetrator, who was then taken into custody. The individual was subsequently arrested by judicial authorities on the same day.
In consideration of the best interests of the child, a publication ban and a confidentiality order have been issued by judicial authorities regarding the incident, and the investigation is being conducted meticulously within this framework."

Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) President Ebubekir Şahin also made statements regarding the matter, emphasizing that the publication ban must be observed to ensure the investigation is conducted properly.
