Published in the Official Gazette: Diesel, fertilizer, and premium support for farmers abolished

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced on his social media account that the Decision on Supports for Plant Production to be Made in 2025-2027 and Some Other Agricultural Supports has been published in the Official Gazette.

Stating that with this decision, farmers will know which basin and which product will receive how much support before deciding on production, Yumaklı said, "Thus, we will guide our farmers toward planned production and prevent a number of negative consequences brought about by unplanned production."

Following Yumaklı's post, Ali Ekber Yıldırım, an agricultural writer for the economy newspaper, shared a post on his social media account announcing that the diesel, fertilizer, and premium support provided to farmers has been abolished.

'FARMERS WILL RECEIVE PREMIUM SUPPORT FOR THE LAST TIME'

In his post, Yıldırım said, "With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, the plant production supports for the 2025-2027 period were announced. According to the decision, as of 2025, fertilizer and diesel support, as well as the difference payment (premium) support provided for 17 products, have been completely abolished. Farmers will receive fertilizer, diesel, and premium support for the 2024 production year for the last time."

Stating that "In the new support system, a coefficient of 244 liras per decare has been determined for 2025," Yıldırım added, "This support amount will increase with the coefficient determined for basic support, planned production, and product development."
