Security camera footage has captured the moment an attacker opened fire with a pump-action shotgun at a coffeehouse where his rivals were located in Esenyurt.

In an incident that occurred on August 9, 2025, in the Güzelyurt neighborhood of Istanbul's Esenyurt district, an unidentified individual opened fire with a pump-action shotgun at a coffeehouse where his rivals were sitting.
Bullets struck the windows and walls of the coffeehouse. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries in the incident.
SECURITY CAMERA REVEALS DETAILS OF THE ATTACK
In the security camera footage that emerged after the attack, the assailant is seen approaching the coffeehouse with a pump-action shotgun in his hand, stopping in front of the door, and firing.
RETALIATION WITH A HANDGUN FROM INSIDE
The footage also clearly shows the moments when a person inside the coffeehouse returned fire with a handgun during the attack. The armed individual exits the building behind the attacker and points his weapon.
ATTACKER RETURNED A SECOND TIME
Despite the retaliation with a handgun, the attacker left the scene, only to return toward the coffeehouse shortly after with his pump-action shotgun. However, he left again without entering during his second approach.
