2 NEIGHBORHOODS UNDER QUARANTINE
Following the detection of rabies in the dog, which was found dead after the incident, the Bahçe and Divan neighborhoods were placed under quarantine. The District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams reported that they have vaccinated the animals in the neighborhood.
Mehmet Altundal, a resident of Divan Neighborhood, stated that the stray dog attacked his two nephews and a woman, saying, "The dog tore off a woman's nose in Bahçe village. They transferred the woman to Diyarbakır, and she is currently in intensive care. Then it came to our village and bit my nephew. While we were trying to catch it, it bit my other nephew as well. My nephews have received treatment and are currently in good condition. The state should collect these dogs, take them to shelters, and find a solution to this problem."
Adnan Akşimşek, one of the neighborhood residents, stated that the neighborhood has been placed under quarantine and expressed their desire for stray dogs to be taken to shelters.
