Ramadan adjustment from the Meat and Milk Board

The Meat and Milk Board has doubled production and extended its store operating hours until 11:00 PM to better serve citizens during the month of Ramadan.

Ahead of Ramadan, the Meat and Milk Board, where low-income citizens have been queuing from the night before, Meat and Milk Board, has decided to increase production. It was also announced that stores will remain open until 11:00 PM.

At the Meat and Milk Board, which operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, queues have grown longer as demand for meat and meat products has increased. The Meat and Milk Board has responded by increasing production. While meat production has doubled at 15 facilities across 14 provinces, daily meat production at the Sincan Facility Directorate in Ankara has been raised from 25 tons to 50 tons.

Operating hours at the stores have also been updated. As part of Ramadan preparations, the agency's stores will serve from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM. At the Meat and Milk Board, ground meat is sold at 229 liras per kilogram, and cubed meat is sold at 259 liras per kilogram.

On the other hand, a decision was made to fix red meat prices throughout Ramadan in certain markets in Istanbul and Ankara, in accordance with a protocol signed with the Meat and Milk Board.

In line with this, the price of ground beef in Istanbul markets has been fixed at 314 liras per kilogram, and cubed beef at 344 liras per kilogram for the duration of Ramadan. In Ankara, the price of cubed meat, which had risen to 450 liras, has been fixed at 324 liras.
