ISTANBUL CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE ANNOUNCED THE DETENTION

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı had been detained. The statement said, "In accordance with the rogatory letter sent to our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the public dissemination of misleading information by Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, the aforementioned person has just been detained."

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED IN RESPONSE TO HIS CLAIMS

In his first post, Kütahyalı claimed, "The November 2023 CHP Congress is being cancelled. A temporary trustee is being appointed to the CHP, and a new CHP congress is being held 45 days later on June 1, 2025. It is said that the trustee will be Hikmet Çetin. A large number of security forces have been dispatched from Istanbul to Ankara against the possibility of an uprising. All leave for security forces in Ankara has been cancelled. Tomorrow, Ankara is preparing for a very long day. Unfortunately, the situation appears to be this way."

Later, he used the expressions, "A security bureaucrat friend of mine called and said that the police deployments from Istanbul to Ankara and the reason for the extreme vigilance of security forces in Ankara could be operations to be carried out against two municipalities in the early hours of the morning. I guess an operation is coming to Keçiören and Etimesgut tomorrow..."
