CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir reacted to the prosecutor's office requesting the arrest of 30 people in the second wave of operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).
In the second wave of operations targeting the İBB, the prosecutor's office requested the arrest of 30 people and judicial control for 18 others.
Reacting to the decision, Emir made the following post on his social media account:
"Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu, whose bribery file was closed after 213 criminal complaints against her remained inconclusive; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son Burak Erdoğan, who killed TRT artist Sevim Tanyürek by hitting her with the vehicle he was driving; Zafer Çağlayan, who flaunted the watch he received as a bribe worth 463 thousand euros; Yasin Serim, who was involved in Cyprus-based money laundering; Zehra Kınık, who caused the death of 1 person and the injury of 4 others; Murat Kurum, the primary person responsible for the İliç disaster, and many others have not appeared before a judge even for a single day!
But our colleagues and students, against whom they still cannot attribute any crime, are either under arrest or being prepared for arrest with empty files! The law, which they currently see themselves as being above, will be needed by the AKP government quite often in the near future!"
