Reaction from former referee Ali Palabıyık after being referred to the PFDK: 'Throw mud and let it stick'
Former referee Ali Palabıyık, who was referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) on allegations of betting, stated, "Throw mud and let it stick. They tried in 2022. They were unsuccessful. I have never been a member of any betting site. I have never given information about any match to any acquaintance."

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that, as part of a betting investigation,nine referees, including Ali Palabıyık, who have not servedas referees in the last 5 yearsand were found to have placed bets on football matches, have been referred to the PFDK with precautionary measures in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions.
Speaking on the matter to NOW Spor,AliPalabıyık stated the following:
