Mehmet Pehlivan, the imprisoned lawyer for CHP's detained presidential candidate and IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, stated, "As you know, two statements 'taken' under the scope of effective remorse were cited as the reason for my arrest.
However, it has been concretely proven that these statements are entirely slanderous. I was falsely accused of arranging a lawyer for a suspect. Yet, it turned out that the alleged lawyer has been that person's attorney for 14 years.
