Reassigned to headquarters: Police chief posts 'dogs are barking behind us'

Erzurum Provincial Police Chief Kadir Yırtar, who was reassigned to headquarters by a Presidential Decree published on September 11, shared a pointed message on his social media account before leaving the city.

Yırtar used the following expressions in his post:

"A wolf that doesn't have dogs barking behind it is not a wolf! Thank God, dogs are barking behind us."

NEW CHIEF HAS STARTED HIS DUTY

Onur Karaburun, who was appointed to Erzurum while serving as the Edirne Provincial Police Chief, has officially started his duty, replacing Yırtar.

CHANGES IN 37 PROVINCES

With the Presidential Decree, the police chiefs of 37 provinces were changed, and the police chiefs of 22 provinces were reassigned to headquarters. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya also made a statement on his social media account following the decision, saying, "I wish success to our newly appointed police chiefs and those whose duty locations have changed. At the service of our noble nation, we will continue to work with all our might for the peace and security of our country in the construction of the Century of Turkey."
