Record fine for Haluk Levent in bounced check case

A verdict has been reached in the case filed against artist Haluk Levent for issuing bounced checks. The court sentenced Levent to a total of approximately 70 million TL in judicial fines regarding two separate checks and also imposed a ban on him from issuing checks and opening check accounts.

Artist Haluk Levent was reported for two checks he issued in 2025 on the grounds that they were bounced. The 5th hearing of the case was held today at the Istanbul Anatolian 24th Enforcement Criminal Court, with the complainant and lawyers for both parties in attendance. It was stated in the file that the total amount of the checks processed as bounced was approximately 70 million TL.

FINE OF NEARLY 70 MILLION LIRA IMPOSED

Levent was sentenced to a fine of 50 million 83 thousand TL for the crime of "causing a bounced check transaction" regarding a check issued on June 30, 2025, and a fine of 19 million 987 thousand TL for the same crime regarding a check issued on May 20, 2025. Additionally, it was decided to ban Levent from issuing checks and opening check accounts.
