Uncle Salim Güran has been in custody for days in connection with the death of eight-year-old Narin Güran, who was murdered and buried under a stream bed in Diyarbakır. Confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was also arrested for the murder, claimed that uncle Güran killed Narin.

Uncle Güran's deletion of his phone records also drew significant suspicion. Through the intensive efforts of security teams, the records have been recovered. A total of 10 people have been arrested in connection with Narin's death.

Among those arrested are Narin's mother and brother. Following confessions during interrogations that the village had reached a 'consensus' regarding Narin's death, the Public Prosecutor's Office summoned Salim Güran for further questioning.

UNCLE GÜRAN HIRES NEW LAWYER

Halk TV reporter Ferit Demir announced the development during a live broadcast, stating that the uncle had hired a new lawyer. Seda Toğrul, who had withdrawn from representing Salim Güran, had stated that she could not perform her defense duties as a 'mother.' Following Toğrul's withdrawal, the Diyarbakır Bar Association had appointed a new lawyer for Güran as required by law.

According to Demir, Güran did not accept that lawyer. Güran has reached an agreement with a new attorney. Demir emphasized that the recovery of the deleted records played a significant role in Güran being summoned by the prosecutor's office.
