CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu, who was detained as part of four separate investigations into municipalities in Istanbul, has been referred to the Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace by the prosecutor's office with a request for his arrest. The referral document prepared for Erdoğdu has been revealed.

Investigations are ongoing regarding the corruption probe into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and Ekrem İmamoğlu; the investigation into allegations that tender processes were organized by bribing mayors, including Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who recently became a confessor, and Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat; the investigation launched upon a tip-off regarding the direct procurement method used by the Beşiktaş Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Directorate for the October 29 celebrations in 2019; and the investigations launched after some suspects in the İBB corruption probe made various allegations regarding the Büyükçekmece Municipality.
The 36 suspects detained within the scope of the investigations were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after their procedures at the police station were completed. Four suspects, including former CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu, whose statements were taken at the prosecutor's office, were referred to the Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for their arrest.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor's referral document prepared for Aykut Erdoğdu, who was referred to the Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest, has been revealed.
In the document written to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, it was stated that Erdoğdu acted within the structure affiliated with Fatih Keleş. According to the statement given by Ertan Yıldız within the scope of effective remorse, it was stated in the referral document that 1 million 200 thousand dollars was given to Fatih Keleş by Aykut Erdoğdu within the scope of the contract made with the company named Vega Hereco, and that after the day the decision regarding the contract in question was taken, the suspects Erdoğdu, Keleş, and Yıldız were determined to have been together in Saraçhane, consistent with the effective remorse statement.
The referral document states that there is concrete evidence showing that Erdoğdu acted as an intermediary for bribery, and that the contract was made after the bribe money in question was delivered to Fatih Keleş.
It was conveyed in the referral document that there is a strong suspicion of crime based on concrete evidence that the suspect Erdoğdu committed the crimes of 'being a member of a criminal organization' and 'receiving a bribe by acting as an intermediary' by acting within the organization under Keleş, and therefore his arrest was requested.
