Regulation regarding National Parks accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey
The Bill on Amendments to the National Parks Law and Certain Laws and Decree-Law No. 375 has been accepted and enacted in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

According to the regulation, in order to enable the use of resource values within the areas covered by the law while ensuring their protection, the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks will carry out necessary work in cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations to train local people living within or in the immediate vicinity of protected areas as field guides. This initiative aims to ensure the effective implementation of visitor management plans prepared in accordance with long-term development plans, to provide accurate information to visitors, and to minimize losses for local people negatively affected by the management of protected areas.
The principles and procedures regarding the selection and training of field guide candidates, the assignment of those who are successful at the end of the training, and their operations, as well as the working procedures and principles for hunting and nature conservation officers, field guards, and forest protection officers, will be determined by a regulation to be issued by the General Directorate.
The General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks will be able to establish revolving fund enterprises.
In national parks, those who disrupt the natural and ecological balance and the value of natural ecosystems, destroy wildlife, or engage in any kind of intervention that causes or may cause the loss or alteration of the characteristics of these areas, or those who cause pollution and similar environmental problems, may be sentenced to imprisonment from one to 3 years and a judicial fine of up to 5 thousand days.
