According to the report in Cumhuriyet, a verdict has been reached in the case filed by Battalion Commander Staff Lieutenant Colonel Halit Türkoğlu, who was dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces as part of a disciplinary investigation launched after the Military Academy graduation ceremony on August 30.
"PENALTY IS DISPROPORTIONATE"
In its ruling, the court assessed that the "separation from the Armed Forces" penalty applied to the plaintiffs was not in accordance with the law and violated the principle of proportionality. The decision stated that the disciplinary sanction was not commensurate with the action, and it was decided to cancel the dismissal proceedings.
