Remarkable remarks on HTS from Devlet Bahçeli! 'Labeling the transitional administration as terrorists...'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli attended the 20th Term Certificate Ceremony of his party's Politics and Leadership School.

Delivering a speech there, Bahçeli made assessments regarding Syria, where the Bashar al-Assad administration has been toppled.

Bahçeli used the following expressions regarding the jihadist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS): "Labeling the transitional administration as a terrorist organization is a game played by the infiltrating Assad lobby, which is playing the three monkeys."

Highlights from Bahçeli's speech are as follows:

"Turkey has broken out of its shell and reversed the regional and global balance of power. Those who oppose just for the sake of opposition, those who open their mouths to lie, and those who speak to distort every issue are not essentially the subject of politics. These are pathological cases. It is a futile expectation for those wretches who seek light in the dark to add value to democracy.

"TURKEY IS LOCKED ONTO HIGH GOALS"

The Turkish nation has united with its historical heritage, is interlocked with its geopolitical legacy, and is locked onto high goals. The Century of Turkey vision, based on the capacity and character of the Presidential Government System, is built on such a foundation of thought.

"WE DO NOT BOW TO POLITICAL AMBITIONS"

We do not accept timidity. We do not prioritize individual interests. We do not bow to political ambitions. We do not allow the destruction of brotherhood through treacherous plots.

"IF WE JOIN HANDS, WE WILL NOT LET THE PUPPETS OF OTHERS AMONG US"

Let us meet in love, reach a consensus in tolerance, and gather within a framework of understanding and respect. Let us draw the roadmap of the future with a partnership of hearts. Let us entrust to future generations a Turkey that has set its sights on global leadership and security. If we join hands, we will not let the games and puppets of others among us.

It is possible to compensate for fixed prejudices that end permanent dialogues before they begin, worthless discussions that poison meetings and contacts, egos hurt when not even expected, and anxieties and jealousies with a mature and understanding approach. There is no other logical way to live together in peace and brotherhood. Those who lower the shutters of consciousness are closing our field of vision.

The 13-year period of internal conflict in Syria has given way to a new reality. The 61-year-old Ba'athist scourge and the Assad humiliation have ended, and Syria has entered a new political lane. It is our wish that this politics be balanced and inclusive, and that it brings the long-suffering Syrian people to the status they deserve.

"SYRIA'S STABILITY IS IMPORTANT FOR TURKEY"

Syria's stability is important for Turkey's security. The establishment of a peaceful environment in Syria is an indispensable necessity for regional security.

I hope that the transition period, which has manifested since December 8 under the leadership of all regime opponents, will be an important threshold in Syria's recovery. In the coming months following the transition period, it is understood that a temporary administration will emerge and the holding of elections will come to the agenda.

"CHP POLITICS HAS RAISED THE WHITE FLAG OF BANKRUPTCY"

The friendly and brotherly Syrian people have suffered greatly from oppression. The account for the innocent must be demanded from the murderer Assad. And this villain should be tried in The Hague as soon as possible, along with the criminal Netanyahu. Ba'athist vandalism has rained down on the people as oppression for 54 years.

Labeling the transitional administration as a terrorist organization is a fabrication of the infiltrating Assad lobby that does not align with the realities on the ground. The CHP's Syria policy is of Ba'athist origin. It is a waste of time to explain the CHP's anti-national politics in any other way. CHP politics has raised the white flag of bankruptcy.

The CHP's politics is politics against Turkey. The CHP chairman, who frantically distorts the messages of the new US President Trump to our President and is driven mad by jealousy, is a half-man.

"THERE SHOULD BE NO PLACE FOR PKK/YPG IN SYRIA"

There should be no place for the PKK/YPG in Syria. Non-Syrian members of the organization must be deported. Not a single terrorist should even be able to breathe at our borders. We no longer have any tolerance for separatist terrorism. Terrorists will not be able to walk around freely anywhere.
