Explosive remarks on MHP and Bahçeli from Saniye Ateş, mother of Sinan Ateş

Former Idealist Hearths President Sinan Ateş lost his life as a result of an armed attack in Ankara on June 30, 2022.

The trial of 12 detained defendants regarding the murder of Ateş is continuing today (September 30) at the Ankara 32nd High Criminal Court, held at the Sincan Prison Campus.

Following a recess in the hearing until 2:00 PM, Sinan Ateş's mother, Saniye Ateş, made statements to Sözcü TV. Saniye Ateş was reminded of her words in court: "My son's killers are not here, they are outside."

When asked, "What do you expect from the trial?", Saniye Ateş responded:

"If this justice is not served, so many lives will be taken, so many lives will be lost... They will become so emboldened, so rabid, because they are being saved anyway." she said.

"THEY WERE AFRAID OF MY SON"

Saniye Ateş said, "I expect a fair trial in this case. My son's killers are outside. My son told me this many times. İzzet Ulvi Yönter, Semih Yalçın, Olcay Kılavuz, Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, and others... They will name the others as well. They constantly assassinated my son's character; what was their problem? I suppose they were afraid that he would become the general president, that he would get there. My son had no intention of becoming the general president." Ateş continued her words as follows:

"THEY DID NOT LET ME SPEAK FOR 16 MONTHS"

He went to the hearth (ocak) at the age of 9. We were born into the hearth. My father was the one who first planted the three crescents in our village. We never had the right to choose. I am not saying a word against the institutions. I am speaking about the inhumane, dishonorable people within them. Does it take this much effort for 22 people to kill one human being? I expect justice from the judiciary. They did not let me speak for 16 months.

"EVERYONE SAID 'BE SILENT, JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED'"

Everyone said, 'Be silent, justice will be served, the state will definitely help you.' They demanded my son's resignation abruptly. My son did not even know he would become the hearth president. You only follow orders there. Whatever they said was done; if you don't do it, it is done to you.

"NO ONE SHOULD SLANDER MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW OR MY DAUGHTER"

So many insults are being hurled at my children. First, everyone should question their own honor. No one should slander my daughter-in-law or my daughter. Those with political power have strong backing; I hope justice is served. Today there are those protecting them, but tomorrow this justice will be needed by them too.

"IF JUSTICE IS NOT SERVED, SO MANY LIVES WILL BE TAKEN..."

If this justice is not served, so many lives will be taken, so many lives will be lost... They will become so emboldened, so rabid, because they are being saved anyway. What were they promised? They said, 'You do it, we will save you.' Can a life be taken for money? I want to say so much, but... I will never grant my forgiveness, especially to Devlet Bahçeli, and I do not respect him, nor do I even call him 'sir'.

SELMA ATEŞ: THERE IS NO PUNISHMENT FOR CRIME IN THE COUNTRY

Speaking after her mother, Sinan Ateş's sister, Selma Ateş, also expressed the following:

We know the real instigators, and we have already provided their names. This is not something done just by Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım. A murderer is transported in the car of the Idealist Hearths President, and an academic is martyred in the heart of Ankara. The ones who had the former Idealist Hearths President murdered are an Idealist Hearths President, a member of parliament, and the Deputy Chairmen of the MHP. We know they are the instigators. Justice will surely be served. If you do not shed light on the murder of Sinan Ateş, today it will be done to you, to me, to him, to a doctor, to a judge. There is no punishment for crime in the country. Let us see this justice before we die. We gave our lives to the party and the hearth.

"I KNOW WHAT DEVLET BAHÇELİ SAID WHEN HE REMOVED SINAN FROM OFFICE, HE SHOULD EXPLAIN IT HIMSELF"

With so much evidence, who are you still hiding? The one at the very top. It is Devlet Bahçeli who made my brother the General President of the Idealist Hearths. He is also the one who removed him from office. What did Devlet Bahçeli say when he removed Sinan from office? I know, he should explain it himself. They are still acting out. They can access our bank accounts, our phone calls. Is there any safety for our children's lives?

The murder of Sinan Ateş will go down in history as the darkest murder.
