Following the start of the 2025-2026 academic year in September, the first term in schools will conclude today. Approximately 18 million students are saying hello to their semester break along with their report cards showing their achievements. Students at all levels, from preschool to high school, will enter the first mid-term break, which will last for approximately two weeks starting today.
The Ministry of National Education will once again present development reports, which also cover students' social and emotional development, instead of traditional report cards for 1st and 2nd-grade primary school students this year within the framework of the “Century of Turkey Education Model.” With this innovation, children's strengths and areas needing support can be monitored more closely.
The final week before the semester break was active in schools with the “End-of-Term Culture, Arts, and Sports Activities Week,” which was implemented for the first time last year. In this context, students participated in art, culture, sports, and science activities. Activities themed 'Family and Play' were blended with projects such as “The Riches of Our Language,” 'Libraries, the Heart of the School,' and 'I Read, I Comment,' while various competitions, documentary and animation screenings, traditional children's games, and social responsibility projects were also carried out throughout the week.
