The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a statement regarding the matter.

The statement indicated that Sadettin Saran's defense was taken regarding allegations that an illegal betting advertisement was broadcast during a match aired by his media group.

The statement said, "In an investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the defense of the individual in question was taken on 26/12/2024 regarding allegations that an illegal betting advertisement was broadcast during a match aired via the media group he owns. There is no situation involving detention."

Sadettin Saran had been summoned to give a statement as part of an illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Saran, who arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan under police escort, left the courthouse after giving his statement to the Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau.

In a statement made by Ajansspor, which is part of the Saran Group, regarding the claims that Sadettin Saran was detained, the following was included:
