Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who lost the chairmanship at the CHP convention held on November 5-6, 2023—a process that has since faced legal challenges regarding its cancellation—rented a workspace shortly thereafter to continue his active role in politics.

Kılıçdaroğlu rented an office in the Mustafa Kemal neighborhood of Ankara, an area that has previously hosted the headquarters of 'Table of Six' components such as the IYI Party, DEVA Party, and Future Party.

Kılıçdaroğlu conducted his political meetings in the duplex office, which consists of three rooms. The office had occasionally been a subject of debate regarding its financing.

The office in Ankara that Kılıçdaroğlu rented after the convention process has been put up for sale for 43 million Turkish Lira.

The property owner, commenting on the matter, confirmed that they had put the office up for sale, stating, "I presented this development to Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu about two months ago. I told him that I would include a condition that the tenant would remain in the property. They created an atmosphere as if I were demanding the eviction of the former chairman." The listing was removed from publication shortly thereafter.

REPROACHFUL WORDS FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER

Journalist Barış Yarkadaş shared details of his conversation with the property owner. According to Yarkadaş, the owner, expressing reproach over media reports, confirmed putting the office up for sale and said, "I presented this development to Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu about two months ago. I also explained the reason. I am preparing to start a new business. Therefore, I am in a new process."

The property owner continued by saying, "The point that saddens me is this..."

"When I presented my decision to the former chairman, I told him that I would post a sales listing and that I would include the condition that 'the tenant will remain in the property.' The former chairman replied, 'Do not put yourself in a difficult position for our sake. Sell it in whatever way is best for you.' I wish those who reported that news had called me to ask about the situation behind the scenes."

My sales plan includes the condition and intention that 'the tenant will remain in the property.' I am already telling this to those who call. These reports have embarrassed me. They created an atmosphere as if I were demanding the former chairman's eviction. I am very saddened. I want the public to know the truth of the matter. Mr. Kemal is very valuable to us. It is useful for this to be known. They keep talking about the office, the office. I do not understand why this topic is being brought up again and again."
