Retired police chiefs who entered the Police College in 1974, which was closed after July 15, held their 50th-anniversary reunion in Ortaca and celebrated Republic Day there as well.
Wearing uniform t-shirts featuring the Police College emblem, the retired police chiefs marched through the streets of Ortaca with their spouses to the accompaniment of marches, laid a wreath at the Atatürk monument, and held a moment of silence.
