Research assistant suspended for not standing during the National Anthem
A research assistant who did not stand during the playing of the National Anthem at an event held at Çankırı Karatekin University has been suspended.

Çankırı Karatekin University research assistant M.Ç. did not stand during the moment of silence and the playing of the National Anthem at a conference held as part of the ÇAKÜFEST events. Following the incident and the subsequent reactions, the research assistant, against whom an investigation was launched by Çankırı Karatekin University, has been suspended.
In a statement regarding the matter, the university said, "The research assistant, who was determined not to have stood during the moment of silence and the National Anthem at an event held at our university, has been suspended within the framework of the investigation process initiated against them."
