Resignation in AKP Istanbul 'following consultations': Announced on social media

A notable resignation has taken place within the AKP Istanbul organization. Erdem Demir, the AKP Üsküdar District Chairman who managed the AKP organization in the Üsküdar district—where the residence of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan is also located—has resigned from his post.
Demir stated that the decision to resign was made following consultations with the AKP Istanbul Provincial Presidency.
In his social media statement announcing his resignation, AKP Üsküdar District Chairman Erdem Demir used the following expressions:
"My very dear AK Party Üsküdar family, precious residents of Üsküdar;
As a result of the consultations we held with our Provincial Presidency, I have resigned from my position as AK Party Üsküdar District Chairman, which I have carried out with great pride since January 25, 2021.
I would like to express my gratitude to our Chairman and President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who never withheld his support from us during my tenure; our Provincial Chairmen Mr. Bayram Şenocak, Mr. Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, and Mr. Abdullah Özdemir; our former Üsküdar Mayor and MKYK member Mr. Hilmi Türkmen; our Women's and Youth Branch Chairmen; our Main Branch, Women's Branch, and Youth Branch District Board members; our Council members; our three-tier Neighborhood Chairmen and their administrations who were always in the field with their efforts; all our fellow travelers and comrades who worked selflessly at every level of our organization; our neighbors in Üsküdar who did not withhold their support; and my dear wife, children, and family who were always unconditionally by my side and worked with me on this path.
May God be pleased with you all.
Having served the same cause alongside you will be a source of honor for me for the rest of my life.
