Resignation in İYİ Party following congress decision
Following İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener's decision to hold a congress after the unsuccessful results in the local elections, resignations are taking place within the party. After Buğra Kavuncu, İYİ Party Head of Local Governments Burak Akburak has also submitted his resignation.

With the party entering the congress process, news of a resignation has arrived. Head of Local Governments Burak Akburak submitted his resignation on his social media account with the following words:
"I am resigning from my position as Head of Local Governments, which I have held with great honor.
I want it to be known that our Grand Congress will be a congress where it is registered that İYİ Party is the hope of Turkey. I am always by our Leader's side! With love and respect"
