AKP member Bülent Arınç reacted on his social media account to the seating arrangement during the visit of the US Ambassador to Ankara and US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, to Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler at his office.
In his statement, Arınç said, "It is incompatible with the seriousness of the state for an ambassador to appear in a superior or presiding position at a meeting held with the Minister of National Defense and force commanders."
'ZIBIDILIK' COMPARISON FROM RETIRED PROSECUTOR DEMIR
Retired Public Prosecutor Mehmet Demir, who stands out with his outbursts on social media and controversial language, reacted harshly to Bülent Arınç's post regarding the Ministry of National Defense and Barrack.
Demir used the following expressions:
"It is truly 'zibidilik' [a derogatory term implying clownishness or lack of seriousness] for this person called Bülent Arınç to write this post on Twitter. There is no need for any courtesy; this is the only way to explain it!!!
Someone who has served as Speaker of the Parliament for years and is a member of the AK Party has the opportunity to easily report and warn both the Ministry of Defense and the Presidency if they see a protocol error.
Instead of doing this, attacking the Ministry of National Defense, and therefore the government—while also implying servitude to America—is, in my opinion, treason from within!!"
