Retired specialist sergeant causes terror

In an incident that occurred in the evening hours on 4th Street in the Donanma neighborhood of Kocaeli's Gölcük district, retired specialist sergeant Nevzat Acar suffered a mental breakdown for unknown reasons.
He opened fire on his wife Züleyha Acar and their children Nurseda Acar and Oğulcan Acar. Nevzat Acar then shot himself with the same weapon.
Upon notification, numerous police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene.
22-year-old Oğulcan Acar lost his life at the scene.
Nevzat Acar and his wife Züleyha Acar could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospitals to which they were taken. It was learned that Nurseda Acar's condition is critical.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
