Retiree bonus passes committee!

The legislative proposal including the increase of the retiree holiday bonus to 4 thousand liras, which concerns approximately 16 million retirees, has been accepted by the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee.

WHEN WILL THE RETIREE HOLIDAY BONUS BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS?

According to information obtained by ANKA from AKP sources, the cost to the budget of the 4 thousand lira bonus to be paid to retirees for both Ramadan and Eid al-Adha has been calculated as 127 billion TL.

Officials stated that after the proposal is enacted, planning has been made for the payments to be deposited into retirees' accounts on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28.

The eve of Ramadan Bayram falls on Saturday, March 29. Ramadan Bayram will be celebrated between March 30, Sunday, and April 1, Tuesday, 2025.

The holiday bonuses paid to retirees every year before Ramadan and Eid al-Adha were increased by 50 percent in 2024 to 3 thousand TL.
