Right to compensation for passengers with delayed flights: How much is the compensation to be paid?
With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette and now in effect, passengers whose flights are delayed have been granted the right to compensation. In the event of a delay of 3 hours or more on domestic flights, 100 Euros will be paid, while for international flights, compensation between 250 and 600 Euros will be paid depending on the distance. The exchange rate to be used for calculating the compensation amounts will not be the date the ticket was purchased, but the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) foreign exchange selling rate on the day the compensation is paid.

With the "Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on the Rights of Passengers Traveling by Air" published in the Official Gazette and now in effect, passengers whose flights are delayed have been granted the right to compensation.
100 EUROS COMPENSATION TO BE PAID FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
In the event that flights are delayed due to technical and operational reasons, if the passenger reaches their final planned destination 3 hours or more late, 100 Euros in compensation will be paid to passengers for domestic flights.
UP TO 600 EUROS COMPENSATION FOR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
The amount varies according to distance for international flights. For international flights, passengers will be paid 250 Euros for flights up to 1,500 kilometers, 400 Euros for flights between 1,500 and 3,500 kilometers, and 600 Euros for flights longer than 3,500 kilometers.
The decision published in the Official Gazette states that when calculating the compensation in Turkish Lira, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey foreign exchange selling rate as of the payment date will be taken as the basis.
