Rize Commodity Exchange: 70 liras per kilogram for 2.5-leaf fresh tea

The Rize Commodity Exchange (RTB) Tea Research and Application Center (ÇAYMER) has announced that the price for 2.5-leaf hand-picked fresh tea to be purchased during April is 70 liras per kilogram.

According to a written statement from the Rize Commodity Exchange, the purchase of 2024 first-flush hand-picked 2.5-leaf fresh tea has begun.

The statement noted that the price per kilogram for 2.5-leaf fresh tea is 70 liras gross, including subsidies, and included the following remarks:

"Payments for 2.5-leaf hand-picked fresh tea purchased during April will be made at the end of May. Images and videos of the product that should be harvested have been shared on our social media accounts. The fresh shoots, which should not be long, must be picked from the base. Long-stemmed large leaves should not be picked. Mature leaves must absolutely not be picked. Producers who wish to bring tea must call 05373635060 to make an appointment."

The statement indicated that the fresh tea brought in will be inspected, and those that do not meet the 2.5-leaf standard will not be accepted.
