Roads to be closed to traffic during May 1, 2025 celebrations

Events to be held across Turkey for the May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day will lead to the closure of some roads to traffic. Drivers in major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Eskişehir will have to use alternative routes.

As is the case every year, May 1 is being welcomed with enthusiasm in Turkey as a day when workers' rights are celebrated and solidarity is brought to the forefront. Due to the events organized within this scope, some roads are planned to be closed to traffic, especially in major cities.

The Eskişehir Governor's Office provided detailed information regarding the roads that will be closed to traffic on May 1. The route starting from the intersection of Atatürk Boulevard and Vali Ali Fuat Güven Boulevard and extending between Kemal Zeytinoğlu Street and Odunpazarı Square will be closed in both directions from 08:00 in the morning until 16:00 in the evening. Vehicles will not be allowed to exit from the streets and avenues leading to these areas.

The Governor's Office stated that drivers should not park on these routes, should prefer alternative roads, and must obey traffic signs. Warning that vehicles not removed for security reasons will be towed, citizens were asked to be careful to avoid any inconvenience.

ROADS CLOSED IN ISTANBUL AND ANKARA

Although no official announcement has been made yet for Istanbul and Ankara, it is expected that some roads will be closed in a manner similar to last year's practices. Drivers and citizens are advised to be careful regarding this matter and to follow current announcements.
