'Erdoğan' game on Roblox, which was hit with an access ban: 'Escape from Taxes (RTE)'

It has emerged that there is a game titled 'Escape from Taxes (RTE)' on the gaming platform Roblox, which was hit with an access ban following Instagram.

The access ban imposed on Instagram by the decision of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) continues for the sixth day.

While millions of users are anxiously waiting to see when Instagram will be reopened, this time an access ban has been imposed on the gaming platform Roblox, which has 9 million users in Turkey.

According to information published on the BTK website, the ban went into effect with the decision of the Adana 6th Criminal Court of Peace dated August 7, 2024.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that the decision was taken because the platform "contains content that will lead to the abuse of children."

According to the report in Diken, it has emerged that there is a game on Roblox, where users can create their own games, that features AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

 

The game titled 'Escape from Taxes (RTE)', created on March 26, 2021, has been visited by 1.2 million users to date. The description of the game, which has no age limit, is as follows:

'Tired of paying taxes? Then come and kill the taxes.'

The taxes included in the game are listed as follows:

Palace tax, breathing tax, walking tax, official vehicle tax, living tax, motor vehicle tax…

It was observed that the dozens of taxes chasing the players in the game do not affect the 'Syrian' characters.

It was learned that certain badges are earned as one progresses in the game, and one of these badges is obtained when the 'Boss RTE' character is killed.
