The online gaming platform Roblox, which was hit with an access ban on August 7, has removed the game titled “RTE: Tax Evasion” from its platform. The platform claimed that the game encouraged users to evade taxes. Roblox also suspended the account of the game's developer.

According to a report by Ali Safa Korkut from Free Web Turkey, Roblox, which was blocked on August 7 over allegations that it “contained content that would lead to the abuse of children” and whose ban has not yet been lifted, has taken action regarding games on the platform.

Roblox management placed “RTE: Tax Evasion,” one of these games which had been played by 1 million 100 thousand users to date, under review and subsequently removed it from the platform.

The platform stated that the game in question violated community guidelines on the grounds that it was “about politicians” and “encouraged citizens to commit tax evasion.”

TAXES DID NOT AFFECT CHARACTERS NAMED 'SYRIAN'

In the game, which featured multiple characters, the objective was for users to escape from characters named “palace tax,” “breathing tax,” “walking tax,” “official vehicle tax,” “living tax,” and “motor vehicle tax.”

Moreover, the dozens of taxes chasing the players did not affect the characters named “Syrian.”

Roblox management also suspended the account of the user named “banavergiver,” who was the developer of the game.

'ESCAPE FROM ATATÜRK' GAME ALSO REMOVED

In addition to the “RTE: Tax Evasion” game, Roblox also removed the game titled “Escape from Atatürk” from the platform.

The account of the user named “sgtlego44478,” who was the developer of that game, was also suspended by Roblox.
