RTÜK imposes broadcast ban on DAESH operation in Yalova: Protection of public order and social security
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) announced that a temporary broadcast ban has been imposed regarding the operation against the terrorist organization DAESH in Yalova.

RTÜK stated in a post on its official social media account,"As a basis for the investigation being conducted by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office,regarding the operationcarried out on 29.12.2025 against members of the DAESH terrorist organization,who were assessed to be in preparation for an act,a broadcast ban has been imposedWithin the scope of the operation; due to the fact that the broadcasts made in the audio, written, andvisual pressregarding the incident are of a nature that violates the confidentiality of the investigation, allkinds of news, interviews, footage, posts,and similar broadcasts concerning the incident in question and the investigation fileare prohibited, andexisting content must be immediatelyremoved from broadcast.has been decided to be lifted.
The broadcast ban was issued to ensure the investigation is conductedproperly, to protect public order and social security,and to ensure thatour security forces can carry out their duties effectively and safely,and it is binding.
In this context, broadcasting from the scene, the progress of the operation, andthe security forces' involvementthe initiation and methods of intervention and the investigation process, any images, audio, and information that could affect it, from any source other than official authoritiesis strictly prohibited from being broadcastin an open manner.In the event that broadcasts violating the ban are detected,administrative sanctions will be imposed by our Supreme Councilwithin the framework of the relevant legislation, primarily Law No. 6112,and the violation acts will be evaluated separately,with sanction processes to be implemented without delay,it was stated.
