RTÜK launches investigation into 2 popular TV series! Statement from Ebubekir Şahin

Content creator Adem Metan claimed that the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has launched an investigation into 2 popular series on television.

Sharing on his X account, Metan quoted a post by RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin and alleged that the series in question are Kızıl Goncalar and Kızılcık Şerbeti.

In his post, Metan stated, "RTÜK has launched an investigation into the series Kızıl Goncalar and Kızılcık Şerbeti. Verified information. These productions belong to Gold Yapım."

KIZIL GONCALAR HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PENALIZED TWICE

The popular NOW TV production Kızıl Goncalar has been targeted since the day it began airing.

When it first began airing last season, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) imposed an administrative fine on the channel. It also issued a 2-episode broadcast suspension penalty for the series.

STATEMENT FROM THE RTÜK PRESIDENT

The statement from RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin regarding the series is as follows:

"Our Supreme Council is meticulously carrying out the inspection process regarding TV series in the new broadcasting season. TV series, which are both highly watched and frequently complained about, bring social reflexes with them when they violate broadcasting principles.

At the beginning of a new broadcasting season, our monitoring experts are on alert regarding productions that our citizens are frequently uncomfortable with. In this vein, our monitoring of series that are met with reactions in our society and are alleged to violate our national security continues uninterrupted. Our citizens should rest assured. After the necessary examinations, if there are productions that violate the law, the necessary sanctions will be applied.
