The 'lower third' (KJ) used in a program on Halk TV regarding the killing of Haniyeh as a result of an assassination carried out by Israel drew attention.

RTÜK Chairman Ebubekir Şahin stated in his announcement, "An investigation has been launched into Halk TV's reckless broadcasts."

In his statement, Şahin expressed the following:

"It is impossible for us to accept a broadcasting mentality that is not disturbed by the cruel martyrdom of those who defend Palestine's rightful cause and those who struggle so that children in Gaza are not slaughtered, but rather defends the perpetrators.

As RTÜK, we expect conscientious media, just like every one of our citizens.

An investigation has been launched into Halk TV's reckless broadcasts.

We are against such a broadcasting approach. We have not given, and will not give, an opportunity to those who violate the broadcasting principles determined by law."
