The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has taken action regarding the GAİN platform's new program, Aşk Adası, before its broadcast date was even determined.
RTÜK announced that it has launched an investigation into the production titled Aşk Adası based on the trailer released on YouTube.
RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated in a post on X (Twitter), "We would like to inform the public that RTÜK, which does not permit any production that does not align with our social and cultural values, is closely monitoring the matter."
Şahin's statement regarding the issue is as follows:
"The necessary preliminary investigation regarding a production titled 'Aşk Adası,' which has been discussed in some media outlets, particularly on social media, has been conducted by our Supreme Council. In its research regarding the production, which is stated to be broadcast on a digital media platform, the Supreme Council Presidency has determined that the promotional trailer was not released by the relevant video-on-demand platform.
RTÜK has determined that the program trailer was released by the production company on its own website without the knowledge or approval of the digital broadcaster in question. We would like to inform the public that RTÜK, which does not permit any production that does not align with our social and cultural values, is closely monitoring the matter."
