Yılmaz shared a video on his social media account with the note, "As the Yenilik Party, our application to the Civil Court of First Instance yesterday for the annulment of the April 16, 2017 Constitutional Referendum due to unstamped ballots and envelopes was rejected with jet speed! What is this speed, Civil Court of First Instance? It's so fast, it's faster than a jet! The decision is full of meaning and typographical errors! We will not let this matter go."
Yılmaz stated the following:
"Look at what is said in the reasoned decision: 'Due to the fact that YSK (Supreme Election Council) decisions are final and closed to judicial review'. Look at the justification. Well then, why do other Civil Courts of First Instance violate the decisions made by the YSK when they interfere in the internal affairs of political parties?
There is legal chaos in Turkey. And the Palace is completely using the law as a weapon against dissidents. As soon as it suits them, they write a decision in an hour, and it is full of typographical errors. In my opinion, this decision is also invalid, illegitimate, and a completely political decision. The referendum held on April 16, 2017, is invalid. The referendum result was announced with unstamped ballots.
And with the announced referendum results, the regime in Turkey has changed. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has become President by circumventing the law in a fraudulent manner. All actions and proceedings he has taken are invalid. We will not let this decision go. We said, 'A precedent had emerged, let's see how they behave.' They immediately chose a different path because it didn't suit them."
