Russia announces it has captured two settlements in Donetsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian army has captured the settlements of Progress and Yevgenovka in the Donetsk region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian army has captured 2 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the statement made by the ministry, information was provided regarding the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.

Noting that the Russian army has taken control of certain settlements and key points, the statement included the phrase, "During active operations, the 'Center' military units liberated the settlements of Progress and Yevgenovka in the Donetsk People's Republic."

The statement further reported that operational-tactical aviation units, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and missile and artillery units struck a radar station of the US-made Patriot air defense missile system, and that Ukrainian soldiers and equipment were neutralized in 138 areas.

It was reported that 5 US-made HIMARS missiles and 2 French-made Hammer guided missiles were shot down by air defense systems, and that 34 Ukrainian UAVs were downed, 12 of which were outside the "special operation zone."
