A Russian national wanted by Interpol via a Red Notice has been captured in Antalya during an operation conducted on a boat.
According to a statement from the Antalya Governor's Office, teams from the Coast Guard Antalya Group Command took action following intelligence that 58-year-old A.P., who is wanted in Russia for bribery and has an emergency arrest warrant issued against him, was planning to flee Turkey by sea.
The operation was carried out on a Ukrainian-flagged sailing boat off the coast of Antalya, with the support of the Antalya MİT Regional Department, alongside the Command's Intelligence Branch and maritime units.
During the operation, the Russian national A.P., who was wanted by Interpol via a Red Notice, his son E.P., Azerbaijani national V.D., and Ukrainian national I.C. were apprehended.

2 PEOPLE RELEASED
A.P. was taken into custody during the operation, while his son E.P. was handed over to the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Migration Management because his residence permit in Turkey had expired; the other 2 individuals were released.
Furthermore, it was noted that A.P. had become a Turkish citizen in 2021 and was stripped of his Turkish citizenship in 2023 due to an arrest warrant issued by Russian judicial authorities.
