Saadet Party's Fatih Karahan had been summoned to testify: Harsh reaction from Süleyman Soylu to Milli Gazete's headline! 'Those we caught red-handed while collaborating with terror sympathizers...'

Saadet Party Aydın Provincial Head Fatih Karahan was summoned to testify due to a post he made about former Interior Minister and AKP Istanbul MP Süleyman Soylu.

Making a statement after his testimony at the police station, Karahan said the following:

"We gave our statement at the Provincial Security Directorate. They summoned us to testify because of a post we made on social media. If you ask what this post is, it is this: It is a post where I expressed my discomfort regarding former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu praising the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, child murderer Abdullah Öcalan, as if he were a peace envoy at the Anatolian Broadcasters Federation, and there is a sentence I used there. In that post, I used the words 'former minister of crime affairs.' Because of this, the prosecutor's office requested my statement. I made the post myself. I already stated this in my testimony. Whoever praises the terrorist organization, whoever praises the terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, whoever portrays him as a peace envoy, even if it were my own father, is a criminal, a traitor, a traitor to the homeland, and a terrorist."

Milli Gazete carried Karahan's testimony to its front page with the headline, "Praising Apo is free, criticizing those who praise Apo is a crime."

Süleyman Soylu responded to Milli Gazete's headline on social media as follows:

"I entrust those who shamelessly lie, slander, and try to spread this on a blessed day to Allah, who commands, 'We will make the path of evil easy for him in this world and the path to hell in the hereafter.' I address those who slander me for praising Apo over the statement, 'Can Apo dissolve the organization?' 'It's free to try; give him a phone, a lawyer, and we'll see if he brings the terrorist organization into line, if he brings the fragments of the organization in Qandil, Europe, and Syria into line.' You wretches who produce a politics of lies, gossip, and defamation under the guise of religion with your appearances, whether your numbers are few or many, you are in ruin in this world and the hereafter.
