In the armed attack that took place in the courtroom at the Bursa Courthouse, 2 people hit by bullets lost their lives, while 2 gendarmes were seriously injured. Sad news has arrived regarding one of the 2 seriously injured gendarmes. The news of the martyrdom was announced by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.

Minister Yerlikaya announced the news of the martyrdom as follows;

May our nation have our condolences. During the armed attack carried out during a hearing at the 6th High Criminal Court in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, Specialist Sergeant Nurettin YAŞAR, who was serving under the Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command as part of the patrol personnel in the courtroom, was seriously injured.

Our hero, unfortunately, passed away today despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken.

We are deeply saddened... I wish God's mercy upon our martyr; I extend my condolences to his family, our Gendarmerie Organization, and our Nation. May our martyr's place be high.
